About the Work:
Horses are consummate facilitators in the
work of human development. Their
size alone inspires a heightened state of awareness. These
intelligent, sensitive creatures respond to both positive and
negative changes in a person’s behavior, offering
constant feedback and timely rewards or consequences for their
actions. Horses are social creatures who readily and honestly
respond to the challenges inherent in forming and sustaining
relationships.
Through a series of specially designed
activities and education, participants in Equine Experiential
Learning deepen their awareness of personal beliefs, strengths,
and challenges which influence their ability to reach their
greatest potential.
Equine Experiential Learning allows you to
explore:
Emotional
agility and cultivating emotional intelligence. Horses teach us how to transform emotion into
useful messages that can guide our lives in positive,
meaningful ways. Emotional agility involves accurately
identifying emotions and understanding the message they convey
to us. In this way clients learn how to move in and out of
emotions with fluidity, confidence, and increased awareness.
Learn to distinguish between the
False Self, or "Critic", and the Authentic self. As we learn to differentiate between these two
"selves" we are able to listen to the
"critic" without letting it run the show, while
cultivating an ability to hear and respond authentically to our
Authentic Self.
Skills which deepen multi-sensory
awareness
Creating clear intention and
boundaries
Identify patterns and beliefs which
restrict potential
Cultivate authentic community
Acknowledge and honor your
creative, intuitive self
Reflective interaction with horses
